Tommy's Brewing Company is Trinidad & Tobago's first craft brewery, and provides a unique experience by blending quality craft beer & cider with freshly made food in a casual brewpub environment. All beers are brewed, kegged and bottled on site and many are available exclusively in our taproom. Our East Gates Trincity taproom is scheduled to open in April 2023.

About the Position

Tommy's Brewing Company is seeking qualified candidates for a full-time Dishwasher in our East Gates, Trincity taproom. Scheduling will be flexible, but weekend hours are required. Our dishwashers support our Kitchen team by ensuring that all equipment, servingware and cookware are clean, organized and fit for use. The right candidate has a “can do” attitude, has attention to detail and enjoys working with people.

Job Requirements:

• Work experience in a similar role or in the food service industry is a plus
• Flexibility to work in shifts, including weekends, evenings, and holidays
• Understanding of hygiene and food safety
• Physical ability and stamina to carry heavy trays and stand for long hours
• Ability to multitask and remain calm and professional in a fast-paced environment
• Must enjoy working with the public in a positive, friendly manner.
• Must be an effective communicator.
• Clear Certificate of Character

Job Duties Include:

• ·       Wash and clean tableware, pots, pans and cooking equipment
• ·       Keep the dish room and equipment clean and organized
• ·       Load, run and unload dishwashing machine
• ·       Keep the dish washing machine clean and report any functional or mechanical problems immediately
• ·       Monitor dish washing machine water temperature to ensure sanitary wash cycle
• ·       Wash and store all tableware and kitchenware
• ·       Maintain adequate levels of clean tableware for dining room and kitchen
• ·       Bag and haul dish room trash to dumpster at designed times
• ·       Handle tableware carefully to prevent breakage and loss
• ·       Maintain adequate levels of dish detergents and cleaning supplies
• ·       Clean food preparation and production areas as required
• ·       Be available to fill in as needed to ensure the smooth and efficient operation of the restaurant as directed by the Taproom Manager or immediate supervisor
