Role summary

The Head Cook leads daily kitchen operations with a focus on quality, consistency, and teamwork. This role ensures every dish meets our standards, supports and guides the kitchen team, and maintains a safe, organized, and efficient environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Food Quality & Kitchen Leadership
  • Prepare and oversee the cooking of all menu items to consistent, high-quality standards.
  • Maintain excellent taste, presentation, and portion control across all dishes.
  • Train, schedule, and support kitchen staff, fostering a positive and productive team culture.
  • Assign daily tasks and keep all workstations clean, organized, and efficient.
  • Uphold all food safety, hygiene, and sanitation procedures, including regular safety checks.

Qualifications

  • Experience as a Head Cook, Lead Line Cook, or similar supervisory kitchen role.

  • Strong culinary skills and knowledge of varied cooking techniques and cuisines.

  • Proven leadership and team management abilities.

  • Understanding of inventory control and cost management.

  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced kitchen.

  • Valid Food Handler or Food Safety certification (as required).
