Location and schedule
Primary location: Tommy’s MovieTowne, Port of Spain
Coverage: All three locations and approved external events
Schedule: Nights and weekends, with onsite presence from setup through execution
We are looking for a meticulous and commercially minded events professional to build and deliver a distinctive programme of events for Tommy’s. The role will begin with the expanded MovieTowne location and grow to cover East Gates, Brentwood and selected events outside our restaurants.
This is a hands-on role for someone who can translate approved concepts into well-organised experiences, build genuine community relationships and deliver events that increase visits, sales and long-term customer engagement.
Responsibilities
Develop and maintain a rolling 90-day events calendar suited to each location’s audience and positioning.
Plan events from concept through closeout, including objectives, budgets, run sheets, staffing, performers, suppliers, technical needs, ticketing and contingencies.
Create recurring and special events across music, sports, comedy, culture, beer experiences, games, family activities and seasonal celebrations.
Build partnerships with performers, clubs, businesses, sporting and cultural groups, charities and other communities.
Turn creative and internal concepts into practical plans, budgets, deadlines and responsibilities.
Coordinate restaurant teams, marketing, ESAL, security and suppliers; lead onsite delivery for key events.
Develop a practical understanding of Tommy’s beers and brand.
Coordinate photo, video and recap requirements with ESAL and creators; content creation is not a core requirement.
Coordinate print and décor suppliers and maintain reusable event assets and inventory.
Use registrations, ticketing, reservations and activations to grow loyalty and passport programmes, capturing attendee data with appropriate consent.
Engage with customers and use their feedback to refine future programming.
Prepare post-event reports on attendance, sales, costs, feedback and operations, with recommendations for future events.
Requirements
Strong event execution, budgeting, coordination and post-event reporting ability.
Genuine interest in craft beer and Tommy’s brand, or willingness to learn quickly.
Friendly, approachable manner and confidence building customer and community relationships.
Ability and willingness to work nights and weekends and be onsite from setup through execution.
At least three years of relevant experience in events, hospitality, entertainment, community programming, experiential marketing or venue operations.
Demonstrated independent execution of events with multiple deadlines, budgets, suppliers and operating teams.
Exceptional organisation, attention to detail and follow-through.
Strong negotiation, written communication and supplier-management skills.
Commercial awareness linking programming decisions to attendance, sales, costs and repeat visits.
Good judgement and calm problem-solving during live events.
Valid driver’s permit and reliable transportation preferred for multi-location coverage.
What success looks like
A credible forward calendar with milestones delivered on time.
Events meeting agreed attendance, sales and profitability targets.
Recurring programmes building traffic in targeted trading periods.
Well-run events supported by visible onsite coordination.
Growth in community relationships, loyalty participation and consented customer data.
